Here is a fine quality antique English George III flame mahogany occasional side table, circa 1780 – 1800, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent condition. The table incorporates a flame mahogany cross banded and satinwood string inlaid top, above a single flame mahogany veneered drawer. The drawer features further string inlay and retains the original brass swan neck handles on circular escutcheons. The mahogany lined drawer is constructed with hand dovetail joints, runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table is raised on four string inlaid tapering block legs. The table has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The table constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:
This Georgian occasional side table is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer front and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer retains the original brass handles and escutcheons. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. The frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner. The table has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic rich colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
