Description:
This is a fine quality antique Georgian English solid mahogany tilt-top tripod table, circa 1780, in excellent original condition. The table boasts a single piece solid mahogany top boasting a dark rich red-brown colours. The tilt top table features the original working hinge and brass locking mechanism, which locks the table into place when horizontal. The pedestal locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table has been designed with a well-shaped and very good quality turned central pedestal stem, which is decorated with spiral carving to the base, uniting the cabriole legs on pad feet further below. This table is completely original, free from any breaks or damage. The underside of the legs even retains the original iron support bracket.
This occasional table boast a rich dark red-brown mahogany colour. The table has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination are of an excellent standard, coupled with the age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique George III English solid mahogany tilt-top tripod table, circa 1780, in excellent original condition. The table has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination are of an excellent standard, coupled with the age and years of care and cleaning it has received. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The original brass locking mechanism is complete and in excellent working order, which is nice to see. The table features the original top, base, pedestal, and legs (with no breaks), along with the original brass locking latch. The underside of the legs even retains the original iron support bracket. This Georgian tilt top table is solid in joint and is ready to use.
