Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian figured mahogany demi-lune console table, with lovely narrow proportions, circa 1820, in excellent condition. Constructed with a superb quality mahogany top (at this time England was importing quality mahogany from its colonies). The table features a bow front design with a reeded edge to the top, above an indented bow front frieze. The table is raised on elegant tapering legs. The table has been French polished in our workshops, so it is in excellent condition. As it is a narrow table with good overhang at the back, it is perfect for use in a hallway. It would even look good in a living or dining room. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
The table features a rich brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through the years of care and cleaning it has received.
This table would look superb in the hallway or living room. It would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
