This is a fine quality English antique Regency satinwood, rosewood and brass inlaid plum pudding mahogany “D” shaped card table, circa 1810, in good condition. The top of the table boasts a stunning plum pudding mahogany top, cross-banded in rosewood, with parallel satinwood stringing. The top retains its original brass hinges both end (which are in good condition), and it folds over to reveal a green vase card table interior. The back legs are hinged at the centre of the frieze of the back of the table; they fold out to support the polished lid. Fine quality brass fleur de lis motifs, which are inset in ebony, are displayed along the frieze above the ring turned tapering legs.
The table feature a rich red and brown mahogany colour. As it boast the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This rich original colour and patination cannot be re-created if the table has been re-polished.

Condition Report:
This table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The green baize has been newly replaced ensuring the interior is fresh, clean and void of any marks or fading. All satinwood stringing and brass inlay is present. The fold over lid retains its original brass hinges at either and they are in good condition too. There is no warping to the folder over top (this is common with card and tea tables). As this table retains its original polish, it retains excellent colour and patination. This colour can only be found in furniture with its original polish; it cannot be recreated with new polish. The item is well constructed, solid in joint (not loose or wobbly) and ready to use.
