Description:
This is an exhibition quality antique English Victorian burr walnut chest of drawers, circa 1880, with stunning colour, in excellent original condition. The chest has been constructed with two small drawers above three larger graduating drawers. The chest benefits from a stunning solid top with a beaded moulded edge. The drawers are constructed with moulded fronts; mahogany drawer linings and hand dovetail joints. The drawers also retain the original blue paper lining, which is in very good condition, as well as their original shaped walnut handles. The chest benefits from an attractive moulded frame, with rounded corners and solid construction. The sides of the chest boast the original decorative walnut veneers, along with the original backboards. The chest terminates on an elegant bead moulded protruding plinth.
The chest features a mellow walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms, from the hallway to the bedroom. This item would certainly grace any home. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
