The table features an octagonal top with a moulded edge, featuring crescent-shaped carving. The underside of the tabletop boasts two tiers of foliate carving, above a carved octagonal pedestal, topped with bull’s eye and scale-type carvings. Each face of the pedestal is also alternately carved with either gothic influenced male or female figures and the base boasts further carvings and terminating with a simple moulding, where the pedestal connects to a square plinth. The plinth retains the original steel castors. This table is solid in joint and ready to use.
The table boasts a superb dark brown oak colour and it is in excellent original condition. It has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
