Description:
This is a stunning quality English antique Queen Anne style burr walnut side / dining chair, constructed in the late Victorian period, circa 1890 – 1900, which has been newly upholstered and French polished to a professional standard, in excellent condition. The chair is designed with an attractive shaped back, with a shaped top rail and a central vase shaped burr walnut veneered splat. The chair is designed with a drop-in seat, which has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality hardwearing cream colour scroll pattern structured satin upholstery, with traditional hessian backing to the underside. The chair stands on cabriole front legs, with floral scroll to the knees and resting on ball and claw feet, and sabre legs to the rear. This chair has a lovely patination; displaying a lovely rich brown walnut colour, having been professionally French polished. This chair is well constructed (it is heavy to lift!), solid in joint and ready to use. Ideal as an office / desk, or occasional chair.

This antique Victorian Queen Anne style dining chair is in excellent condition, considering its age. The chair joints have been tightened and the frame professionally French polished by hand, to a high standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drop-in seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in hardwearing cream colour structured satin upholstery, with a fine scroll pattern, finished with traditional hessian backing to the underside. The upholstery is therefore clean, free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. The chair frame and joints are all in excellent condition, solid in joint and is ready to be used. This is a very good quality chair – it is heavy to lift!
