There is a small variation in the design of the pierced central splat on some of the chairs, which is quite unnoticeable unless it is pointed out. The chairs boast generous stuff-over seats, which have been professionally upholstered, with new springs, in new top-quality taupe colour structured cotton material, finished with matching braiding and traditional hessian backing to the underside. The bow front moulded seat frame is raised on fine quality ring turned & reeded tulip carved front legs, with sabre rear legs to the rear. The chairs retain their original brass collars & porcelain castors.
This set of chairs boasts the original polish; therefore, they have a fantastic depth of colour and patination, displaying a lovely deep rich red and brown colour.
If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. If you would like the seats recovered, we charge £45 per seat.
The chairs feature a deep rich red and brown mahogany colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received. This rich original colour cannot be re-created if the chairs have been re-polished.
These 19th Century dining chairs would look would look good anywhere, either in a formal setting or for everyday use. They would certainly grace any home or office and are a great investment, as they are extremely functional.
