Here is a fine quality antique English set of 10 Victorian dining chairs, designed with “spear backs”, constructed from top-quality mahogany, circa 1860, which have been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. The chairs are designed with an attractive shaped back, with a spear-shaped pierced central vertical splat. The dining chair frames are constructed using the traditional “bolt-back” method, which allows them to be tightened, ensuring they are solid in joint. They incorporate drop-in seats, which have been newly upholstered in top quality hardwearing light grey and taupe hopsack weave chenille upholstery. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice – we charge £25 labour per chair seat. The 10 Victorian dining chairs stand on cabriole shaped front legs, which is rare to see (they are usually turned front legs), with sabre rear legs. The seat frame boasts an elegant moulded front and side rails. This set of ten antique dining chairs have a lovely patination; displaying a lovely rich red and brown mahogany colour, having been cleaned and professionally French polished by hand in our workshop.

Here is a fine quality antique English set of 10 Victorian dining chairs, designed with “spear backs”, constructed from top-quality mahogany, circa 1860, which have been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. The ten dining chairs have been cleaned, tightened and professionally cleaned and French polished by hand in our workshop. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the antique dining chairs but nothing significant considering the age of the chairs. The drop-in seats have been newly upholstered in top quality hardwearing light grey and taupe hopsack weave chenille upholstery. The upholstery is therefore clean, free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. If you would like the seats recovered, we charge £25 labour per chair seat. The dining chair frames and joints are all in excellent condition, solid in joint with no breaks; the chairs are ready to be used.
