Description:
This is a superb quality antique Irish George III Regency mahogany two drawer server sideboard, of shallow depth, boasting a stunning colour, circa 1820, in excellent original condition. Ideal as a statement piece in a hallway, because of its shallow depth or useful in the dining room. The Regency dresser boasts a single-plank mahogany top, with a reed moulded edge, above two working drawers, with a central decorative cock-bearded panel. The drawers feature cock-beaded fronts, boasting the original brass handles and ornate shaped escutcheons. The drawers retain the original working locks, with working key. The oak lined drawers are constructed with hand-dovetail joints and they close flush to the frame. The server stands on fine tapering block legs. The server has been constructed in the traditional method using joined construction.
This Irish server boasts a lovely rich red-brown mahogany colour. The server has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard, along with the years of care and cleaning it has received.
This sideboard would look superb in any hallway, kitchen or dining room. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional.

Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, frame and top, including inside the drawers, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawers retain the original brass handles on ornate shaped escutcheons. The drawers also retain the original working locks, with working key. The server has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore it boasts a stunning colour and patination. The server is well constructed, solid in joint with no loose movements and is ready to be used.
