These fine quality bedside chests constructed of solid mahogany have four working drawers with dovetailed joints and original wooden knobs, circa 1840 – 1860. The bedsides chests boast traditional round cornered edges which are mirrored in the supporting plinths. They also features “splash backs” at the back of the bedsides on the tops. The backs of the bedsides also feature mahogany back boards. Both chests are constructed of top quality solid mahogany timber. During this period, England was imported top quality timber from the colonies.
