The bottom of the base section comprises a second cupboard space enclosed by two inset panelled doors. The right-hand door incorporates a steel working lock, with working key, with the left-hand door featuring a faux keyhole and the original wooden rotating lever. Both doors display kite shaped inlaid mahogany keyhole surrounds and retain their original brass round knobs. The cupboard space to the top section offers three-tier storage, having two shelves, while the cupboard space to the base section offers two-tier storage, having a central shelf.
