This is a superb quality antique Welsh oak George III Upholstered Settle Bench (Circa 1760 – 1780). The settle boasts shaped arms, pegged construction, five Arcadian panels to the raised back and it sits on cabriole legs to the front and straight legs to the back. The settle has a fixed padded seat that has been re-upholstered in a cotton damask material. Studding features around the padded seat. The settle boasts cabriole legs to the front and straight legs to the back.

Condition Report:
The item is in very good condition commensurate with its age. The frame is original except the padded seat has been recently re-upholstered. Excellent colour / patination. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
