This is a very good quality antique English mahogany William IV double scroll end couch, circa 1830 – 1840. The frame and fluted turned legs are constructed of solid mahogany terminating in the original brass socket castors. The frame features attractive up-swept arms with a pretty floral carved fascia and central carved floral pediment aling with a fan motif at the end of each corner of the couch. The frame is covered in Regency stripe floral damask material. The couch features a lift up swab cushion and two bolster cushions at each end. The couch will seat 3 – 4 persons.

Condition Report:
In very good condition commensurate with age. The arms and back of the couch are solid in joint. It has re-upholstered sometime in the past with the upholstery you see now. The braiding is in very good condition and is firmly attached to the couch. There is no wear, damage or marks to the upholstery. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
