This is an example of a very good quality and original antique late Victorian Bentwood hallstand, circa 1900 in original excellent condition. The top section features 6 curved “s” shaped coat hooks above a large central turned column, which terminates with a turned finial. Further below, the base features a circular ring, which supports umbrellas. Four umbrella shaped splayed legs support the hallstand firmly on the ground. The hallstand dismantles into two sections for easy transport and access into the house.
This item features a rich dark colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The item is in excellent and original condition. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. Importantly, there are no missing hooks, hook knobs (unlike others you see for sale). There are also no breaks to the arms / hooks (which is very common with these types of hallstands). The item dismantles into two sections for easy transport and access into the house. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
