This is an attractive and top quality antique Edwardian rosewood leather ladies writing table, circa 1901 – 1910. The writing table features a single panel brown and gold leather tooled skiver on the top. Each drawer is hand dove tailed with mahogany drawer linings (a sign of good quality). The exterior of the table boasts profuse satinwood string inlay to the top, front, sides, back and legs. The front of table features a central drawer which features detailed marquetry inlay and a working lock and key. The right hand drawer features a useful internal letter compartment. The drawers feature the original brass fretted handles. The table sits on four tapering inlaid legs which terminate with a spade foot and sit on the original brass & mug castors.

Condition Report:
In very good condition commensurate with age. The leather is in good clean condition without any rips or damage. The table boasts the original polish. Nominal old use marks and minor scratches to the leading edges of the wooden desk but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There is a very old small repair to the back left hand corner of the desk which is hardly noticeable. There has been some minor fading to the polish to the back right hand corner or the desk. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
