This is a very good quality antique Edwardian walnut office armchair (circa 1901 – 1910). The design is quite unique and rare with the back featuring a stunning single piece of shaped figured walnut. The back is connected to the scroll end arms. The arms are connected to the red draylon velvet upholstered seat. The seat, which is stuffed with horsehair, is very comfortable. It features a red braided and studded perimeter. The seat is connected to the base by four sturdy cabriole legs, which terminate on pad feet. The chair is very comfortable is very sturdy.

Condition Report:
The chair is original and is in excellent condition. The arms are solid and show no signs of movement. This chair does not recline and the seat is fixed at a standard height. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no breaks to the arms or legs. The seat upholstery is clean and is free from wear, tears and dirt. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
