This is a fantastic quality antique French 19th Century four plank solid chestnut refectory farmhouse 7’ 7” dinging table, circa 1840. The table top is constructed of four single chestnut planks finished with cleated end, dowelled and pegged tenons (these are a sign of good quality) and sits on chamfered legs. The table features a large working drawer to one end with the original metal handle. The table top and base is original. The table top features a very good colour / patination. The table seats between 8 – 12 people and is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table.

In very good condition commensurate with age. The table features the original top, base and legs. The table boasts a fantastic colour / patination. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of active wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
