Here is a superb quality antique George III mahogany and gilt fret Chippendale style wall mirror displaying a deep rich colour, circa 1780 – 1820. The frame boasts an intricate hand carved mahogany and gilt frame in the style of the Chippendale period. The mirror features a carved gilded ho-ho bird / eagle pediment and a gilded mirror bead. The carving to the frame is crisp. To the back of the mirror, there is a hanging wire and the original chamfered pine back.

Condition Report:
The frame and back is completely original without any damage. The glass has been replaced some time ago and shows no signs of foxing. There are no missing parts to the carved frame or gilding. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use. Overall, it this item is in excellent condition.
