This is an attractive and good quality antique Gorge III oak Cheshire side table, circa 1770 – 1800. The table is constructed of solid oak with a two plank top, moulded front and two hand dovetailed drawers with oak linings which retain the original wooden knobs. The table sits on the four original tapering legs. This type of table is normally used as either a side or hall table but it could also be used as a dressing, writing or console table and originates from the countryside in Cheshire.

Condition Report:
The table is in very good condition and is commensurate with the age of the item. The drawers are oak lined and features the original oak knobs they are free running and close flush to the frame. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
