These excellent quality bedside chests constructed of solid mahogany have a single working drawer with dovetailed joints, the original wooden carved wooden leaf handle and each bedside has a working cupboard door and shelf, circa 1840 – 1860. The bedsides chests boast traditional round cornered edges which are mirrored in the supporting plinths. They also feature “splash backs” at the back of the bedsides on the tops. The backs of the bedsides also feature mahogany back boards. The drawer bottoms and linings are also constructed in mahogany. Both chests are constructed of top quality solid mahogany timber throughout. During this period, England was imported top quality timber from the colonies.
These chests would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hall way, living room or the bedroom. These chests would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
