Description:

Designed with an elegant bow front shape, the top is constructed with a single piece mahogany top. Below is a bank of three graduated drawers. The drawers are pine lined and hand dovetailed, with quarter beaded interiors (a sign of quality) and cock beaded fronts. Retaining the original turned mahogany knobs and brass key escutcheons, the drawers also retain their original working locks, with working key. The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The chest stands on the original well shaped mahogany splayed bracket feet. The back of the chest features the original pine back boards. The chest has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. The chest stands firm on the ground, is solid in joint and ready to use.
The chest features a lovely rich mahogany colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
