Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Victorian pine chest of drawers, with small proportions, circa 1860, in good original condition. Designed with a “two-over-two” drawer configuration, and curved corners, this is a pretty example of a Victorian pine chest of drawers. The graduated drawers are constructed with pine lining and hand dovetail joints. The drawers are pine lined and hand dovetailed, with quarter beaded interiors (a sign of quality). Featuring the original white porcelain knobs, the drawers retain their original working locks, with working key. The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The chest stands on the original pine turned feet. The back of the chest features the original pine back boards. The chest has been cleaned and traditionally wax polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. The chest stands firm on the ground, is solid in joint and ready to use.
The chest features a lovely mellow colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This chest would look superb in a variety of rooms, from the hallway to the bedroom. This chest would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
