This is an attractive and superb quality antique William IV mahogany library table, circa 1830 – 1840. This library table features a stunning rich mahogany colour formed from a single piece of mahogany with a moulded edge. To the back of the table is an attractive small up-stand. Below the top sits two cock-beaded working drawers, which are hand, dovetailed and have been constructed from cedar drawer linings (this is a sign of quality). Below sits a lovely moulded lip edge. The table sits on four stunning fluted tulip legs with studded collars, which is a truly classic design from the William IV period. All in all, this is a very pretty and super quality table.

Condition Report:
This item is in very good condition and boasts the original polish. There are no splits to the top. The wooden drawer knobs, castors and collars are all original. The drawers are in good working order and close flush to the frame. There is a small ink stain to the back right of the top (see photo). There are nominal old use marks to the leading edges and top but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
