Description:
Here is a good quality French provincial chestnut lower dresser-serving base, constructed from earlier timbers (possibly 19th century timbers), during the late 20th century, circa 1970. The dresser, which boasts narrow proportions, is constructed of solid chestnut and features a lovely four-plank top with cleated ends. This dresser boasts four drawers (most similar dressers have three drawers), which is nice to see. The drawers are constructed of solid chestnut and incorporate the original steel cup handles, above a simple shaped frieze. The dresser stands on four simple tapering legs. The back of the dresser features a single chestnut backboard. This is an ideal dresser to serve food and cutlery from in either the dining room or kitchen.
The dresser features a superb warm and mellow chestnut colour. As it boasts the original polish from earlier timbers, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
The dresser would look superb in any hallway, kitchen or dining room. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:
This dresser is in good condition. It has been constructed from earlier timbers (possibly 19th century timbers) during the late 20th century, circa 1970. Nominal old use marks to the top, leading edges and insides of the drawers but nothing significant considering the age of the timber. The dresser has been polished in our workshops. The solid chestnut lined drawers feature their original metal cup handles and close flush to the frame. As the dresser boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic warm mellow chestnut colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The dresser is well constructed, solid in joint with no loose movements and is ready to be used.
