This is a superb quality set of 8 French provincial spindle back dining chairs originating from the Low Countries (northern France or Belgium), circa 1900. This is an original set of side chairs (not matched). The chairs boast a pretty carved floral crown, which is supported by two outer spindles and flanked by inner wavy splats. All chairs feature hand woven rush seats, which are in excellent condition with no significant signs of wear. The base of the chairs feature square and turned legs. There are stretchers all round for strength (twin stretchers on the sides for additional sturdiness). All chairs are made from top quality beech.
