Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian Regency mahogany chest of drawers, constructed of flame, with a bow front shape, featuring stunning flame mahogany drawer fronts, circa 1820, in excellent condition. Designed with an elegant bow front shape, the top is decorated with mahogany cross banding, boxwood and ebony string inlay. Below is a bank of four graduated drawers. The drawers are mahogany lined and hand dovetailed. Featuring period period oval brass handles and escutcheons, the drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The chest stands on the original well shaped mahogany splayed bracket feet in between a pretty shaped apron. The back of the chest features the original pine back boards. The Regency mahogany chest of drawers has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard. The Georgian chest of drawers stands firm on the ground, is solid in joint and ready to use.
The Regency mahogany chest of drawers boasts a lovely rich mahogany colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
