This is a fantastic quality antique burr walnut Victorian games & sewing table (Circa. 1860). The table top is inlaid with floral satinwood inlay likewise, the sides, back and front of the sewing box are also. The table top when opened reveals three gaming boards (chess, back gammon and cribbage) inlaid on boxwood, satinwood and ebony. The table top is supported by a pull out hand dovetailed compartmentalized sewing drawer with the original working lock and key. Beneath the sewing table drawer there is a pull out sewing box drawer constructed with boxwood veneer in original condition. The table stands on solid turned walnut legs terminating in splayed cabriole legs with original china castors. A turned stretcher connects bots sets of legs.
