Description:

The chest has been constructed with a “skyscraper” design, with a shallower drawer to the top section, and a moulded top, including an up stand to prevent items from rolling off the back. The tallboy is also bow-fronted, featuring a total of six dovetailed drawers. The drawers boast cock beaded fronts, retain their original shaped metal & Bakelite handles, run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The chest stands on its original splayed bracket feet. This piece boasts classic art deco styling in the overall design of the curved front, stepped design, clean lines, handles and feet.
The chest features a lovely rich burr walnut art deco colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
