Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian provincial solid oak wall hanging double corner cabinet, circa 1780 – 1800, incorporating decorative detail and stunning colour, in excellent condition. The cupboard comprises a moulded protruding cornice decorated with dentil work above a single cupboard door, which retains its original brass “H” hinges, original brass knob & escutcheon. The upper door retains its original working lock, with working key. The door opens to reveal a three-tier bank of shelves with shaped fronts, with a taller shelf at the bottom, useful for storing larger items, such as vases or bottles. The corner cabinet features later sturdy solid oak backboards, which have been painted in the past. The backboards incorporate four screw holes which are to be used to secure the cupboard against the wall. The cupboard terminates on its original moulded plinth. The cupboard is ideal in the kitchen or dining room, and offers significant storage space off the floor. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
The corner cupboard has been traditionally wax polished by hand in our workshop; therefore, the finish and colour are in excellent condition.
The corner cupboard features a rich dark brown oak colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination having been cleaned and wax polished, along with the years of care and cleaning it has received.

Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The door retains its original brass “H” hinges, original brass knob & escutcheon and closes flush to the frame. The corner cupboard features later sturdy solid oak backboards, which have been painted in the past. The backboards incorporate four screw holes which are to be used to secure the cupboard against the wall. The corner cupboard has been traditionally wax polished by hand in our workshop; therefore, the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
