Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Regency mahogany Canterbury, circa 1820, in good original condition. The Canterbury is divided into four compartments, by five up-curved panels with simple slatted uprights. The compartments are ideal for storing magazines, newspapers or music sheets. All four corners feature straight supports, which terminate on the original brass castors. Below the partitions is a single oak lined drawer, boasting hand dovetailed joints. The Canterbury reflects a simple but refined style, typical of the Regency period; it has been constructed from the finest mahogany timbers.
The Canterbury features a gorgeous mellow brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This item is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this colour and patination cannot be re-created through re-polishing. The panels are complete, with no missing sections and are solid in joint. The feet and brass castors are also all original. The Canterbury has been constructed from the finest mahogany timbers. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
