Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian Regency mahogany side table, with satinwood inlay, circa 1820, displaying a lovely rich colour, in good condition. The table boasts a single plank top with satinwood string inlay to the perimeter and a reeded edge. Below, is a single drawer, which retains the original working lock, with key. The drawer displays satinwood string inlay to the front, and includes old replacement foliate oval brass handles & escutcheons. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with hand dovetail joints and runs smoothly, closing flush to the frame. The table is raised on four straight tapering block legs. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. Ideal for use a side, lamp, writing or occasional table. This mahogany side table is solid in joint and ready to use.
This occasional table boasts a lovely rich mahogany colour. The table has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard, along with the years of care and cleaning it has received.
This Regency mahogany side table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway, or useful as a lamp or writing table. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, top and inside of drawer, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The table has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer retains the original working lock, with working key, and old replacement brass oval handles and escutcheons. Age related wear to the satinwood string inlay around the drawer front and table top (see photo). The drawer is oak lined, hand dovetailed, runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
