Both of the drawers retain their original brass lever working locks, with a working key. The drawers are constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and are oak lined and run smoothly, closing flush to the frame. The bottom drawer is divided into several sectioned compartments, for the advantage of storing smaller items. The table is raised on four straight tapering block legs, with a reeded cross-stretcher below for additional support. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. This mahogany table is solid in joint and ready to use.
