Description:
Here is a fine quality matched pair of antique English Victorian solid mahogany occasional circular tripod / wine tables, circa 1880, in excellent original condition. The tables, each with mahogany moulded tops, (the shorter featuring simpler moulding and the taller featuring more refined moulding) boast stunning grain configuration. The tops are each raised on a barley twist pedestal, which terminates on lovely scroll carved legs. The tables have been French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. Ideal for use as a pair of occasional or wine tables. While not a true pair, the tables are a good match and do not detract from each other.
These Victorian tripod tables feature a rich brown mahogany colour. They boast fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room or the hallway. The tables would certainly grace any home or office and are a great investment, as they are extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
Taller Table Dimensions:
Table Height = 72.3cm or 28½” or 2ft 4½”
Diameter = 47.8cm or 18⅞” or 1ft 6⅞”
Shorter Table Dimensions:
Table height = 68.6cm or 27” or 2ft 3”
Diameter = 55.5cm or 21⅞” or 1ft 9⅞”
Condition Report:
These mahogany matched wine tables are in excellent condition. The tables have been French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. Therefore, the tops boast excellent colour and patination. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering their age. The tables are completely original (i.e. the tops and bases are not a marriage). They are solid in joint and ready to be used.
