The Victorian walnut office chair is designed with an elegant curved, buttoned & padded leather backrest, above a single tier of finely turned spindles, flanked by spandrels, united by two reeded frames. The frame curves round to form wraparound arms, supported by larger decorative etched spindle supports at the front of each arm. The stuff-over sprung seat is comfortable to sit on and is decorated with brass studwork to its perimeter on a moulded bow front rail, flanked by symmetrical scribe carvings to the frieze. The Victorian walnut office chair stands on sturdy ring turned legs to the front, with splayed block legs to the rear, terminating on its original castors on the front legs, with wooden button pads to the rear.
The walnut office chair displays a rich brown walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.
