Here is a primitive and rustic provincial antique French chestnut candle table, circa 1850, in excellent original condition. The table, which is constructed of solid chestnut, features a fixed octagonal top with a straight edge. The top of the table is carved with a floral pattern and in the centre of the table, is a flat section. The top features a lovely grain configuration. The table stands on a long elegant ring turned stem, which is supported by three umbrella shaped legs. This table is typical of French rustic provincial furniture. The table is completely original and it has a fantastic colour / patination. It would be ideal as a small drinks or candle table.
This item features a rich dark chestnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This table is in excellent original condition. There are no scratches, stains or marks to the top of the table. The table boasts its original polish and therefore has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The top and base are original to each other. There has been some movement to the level of the top over time but it is solid. This table is solid in joint and ready to use.
