This is a very good quality English George III Oak Chest on Chest, circa 1770. The chest consists of two halves. The top chest is smaller than the base chest. The chest is completely original. There are 8 working drawers which is ideal for storing clothes. It has the original elm backboards, original drawer linings and hand dovetailed drawer construction, original cross banded drawer edging, original brass swan neck handles and the original bracket feet. The top and bottom are completely original and are not a marriage. The chest boasts a working key with four working locks and four sham locks.
