This is a superb quality 6ft 4” antique North Welsh high back oak George III settle bench (Circa 1760 – 1780) believed to have originated from North Wales. The settle is constructed of much earlier 17th Century Jacobean panelled timbers. The settle boasts down swept shaped oak arms, pegged construction. The back consists of 4 raised panels above 5 larger solid oak rectangular panels with a large storage compartment below. The lid is hinged with hand beaten forged butterfly hinges. The settle features the original polish and patination and thus the colour of this settle is superb.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway, dining room or kitchen. This item would certainly grace any home and a great investment as they are an extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
