Here is an example of a very good quality antique Victorian colonial military teak armoire / wardrobe, circa 1890 – 1900. The armoire is constructed of solid teak it features a raised decorated cornice showing a central motif adorned with foliage and garlands to the front and sides. The armoire features the original mirrored door, handle, love heart escutcheon, lock and key. Within there are two inset drawers with inset brass handles and three fixed shelves. There is a single drawer beneath. The armoire sits on a shaped plinth and has solid back boards. The armoire is completely solid and comes in one piece.

This cupboard is commensurate with age and is ready to use and is completely original with no replacement parts. The door features the original glass. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and some fading to the polish near the door handle but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The door features the original working lock and key. The item is solid in joint and free of wood worm.
