This is a very good quality pair of antique Georgian style serpentine bedside chests, circa 1950, made and stamped by the respected English reproduction furniture company, Reprodux – Bevan Funnell Ltd. The classic styling represents the late Georgian period. The bedside chests are constructed of mahogany, with very pretty configured flame mahogany veneer drawer fronts and tops. The fronts of these bedsides feature a serpentine design the dovetailed drawers are cock-beaded and feature very pretty brass Georgian style ring handles. There are four drawers to each bedside. The chests terminate in Georgian style bracket feet.
They have a beautiful deep rich patina, which has been generated by the years of cleaning and care they has received. These truly are very beautiful item with quality construction and are original throughout. It is rare to see one in such good condition. This item would certainly grace any home.
