This is a good quality pair of Charles II style oak carved hall stand chairs originating from the Lancashire region, which have been constructed from early 17th century panels & timbers during the late Victorian period (circa 1880). The chairs are constructed of solid oak and feature very pretty carved crowns and panel backs, side rails and legs. Each chair depicts a different carving. The chair on the left depicts King James 1st (1566 – 1625) and the chair on the left depicts William the Conqueror (1027 – 1087). The chairs features stunningly quality carvings to the back and base. The legs are connected with stretchers all round. The chairs boast a stunning colour.

These chairs are in excellent condition. The chairs have been constructed from early 17th century timbers during the late Victorian period (circa 1880). There is no damage to the frame or breaks to the legs. The frames and arms are also in excellent condition with no splits or lose movements. Excellent colour. The chairs sit firm on the ground and do not wobble. Free of active woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
