Condition Report:
Here is a superb quality pair of antique English Victorian solid mahogany swivel office desk arm chairs, circa 1880, boasting a stunning rich colour, in excellent original working condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair frames have been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the finish, colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The original revolving ball bearing mechanism is in good working order, having been stripped down, cleaned and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism, but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair, and will be found in all office chairs of this age. The shaped legs terminate on solid brass and castors, which are in good condition. The chairs are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
