This is a very good quality set of 8 antique ash and beech country farmhouse ladder-back rush seated dining chairs, circa 1920. This is an original set and not matched together. The set consists of 8 side chairs. All chairs boast graduated wavy shaped back splats above hand woven rush seated seats. The base of the chairs feature turned legs and stretchers all round for strength (twin stretchers on the sides). The front stretcher is heavy and turned – a good sign of quality. All chairs are made from top quality ash & elm and are firm and solid.

These chairs are in excellent condition. The rush seating is original and most importantly, it is in excellent condition. There is an excellent colour / patination to the timber. There are no scratches nor damage to any of the chairs. All chairs are free of woodworm, solid in joint (not lose or wobbly) and ready to use. This is an original set of chairs they are not matched together.
