Here is an example of a superb antique Victorian gothic revival carved oak pew, circa 1860 – 1880, in the style of the famous House of Parliament architect, August Pugin. The oak pew, which originates from the country of Staffordshire, features a panelled back with pegged construction and chamfered corners. The sides of the pew have elegant gothic carvings to each end. To the back of the pew there is a small ledge for storing books or items. The pew boasts an excellent colour and patination. It is completely original and is very heavy and sturdy.

This item is in excellent and completely original condition. Its condition is commensurate with its age. Some nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Because the pew boasts it the original polish, there in an excellent colour and patination to the bed. The seat and sides are sturdy, solid in joint and is ready to use. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
