Here is a good quality antique English Victorian mahogany revolving office armchair, circa 1880, in excellent condition. The chair features a curved shaped bar back, with scroll ears connected to wrap around down swept arms. A bank of vertical turned bulbous spindles connect the shaped bar back and arms to the mahogany seat frame. The chair has a green full grain leather seat, finished with brass studs, which is extremely comfortable. The chair sits on four splayed mahogany legs that terminate on its original brass castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the large screw and the chair can be raised or lowered on the central steel thread. The chair mechanism has been cleaned and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair also features a reclining action. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on.
This item features a rich brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The chair mechanism has been cleaned and serviced and is in excellent condition. The chair has a full grain top quality green leather seat, which features the traditional webbing to the underside. The tension of the reclining action can be adjusted by turning the large screw and the chair can be raised or lowered on the central steel thread. The chair features its original brass castors, which are in good condition. Importantly, there are no breaks to the back, arms or legs. As the chair boasts its original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
