This is an attractive and superb quality antique Victorian mahogany serpentine fronted ladies spoon-back chairs, circa 1860. The spoon back chair is constructed of solid mahogany and features very decorative profuse crisp floral and fruit carvings to the head and sides of the chair. The same design is mirrored in the base and the legs. The back legs are splayed which is a good sign of quality. The fronts are cabriole legs and all four legs retain its original castors. The chair is upholstered in a turquoise blue deep buttoned draylon upholster. The seat is fully sprung and is extremely comfortable. The upholstery and braiding is in fantastic condition.

This item is in superb condition and is commensurate with age. There are no marks or wear to the upholstery or braiding. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the mahogany frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no breaks or repairs to the chair. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
