The chaise boasts a carved fascia to the front arm with a reeded mould to the frame. The chaise has been newly upholstered with a top quality cream & pale gold silk damask upholstery, interspersed with a diamond pattern incorporating floral centres. The upholstery is finished with hand tacked brass studwork and comes with a lovely bolster cushion, finished with ruched button ends. The chaise stands on its original baluster tulip shaped legs and features top quality replacement brass castors. The up-swept arm and backrest are solid in joint.
This chaise features a rich dark brown rosewood colour. As it boasts the original polish it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. It is impossible to re-create this colour if it has been re-polished.
