This is a superb quality antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany adjustable height piano stool by Wadman Brothers of Bath, Somerset, circa 1901 – 1910. The piano stool was constructed by and is stamped on the underside of the stool “Wadman Brothers, Bath, number 506, Patented”. There is satinwood string and floral inlay to the frame on all sides. The stool features an elaborate adjustable height mechanism underneath. To lower the stool, you push the brass lever on the side and this lowers the seat by gravity. To raise the height of the stool, you lift the seat up and a cog mechanism locks the stool into place at the desired height. The fabric and braiding has recently been professional re-upholstered with fresh top layer and horsehair. The piano stool features shaped and turned legs.

Condition Report:
In excellent condition considering it age. The braiding and top seat cover has recently been professionally re-upholstered with horsehair and a top cover. The adjustable seat height mechanism is in excellent working condition. There are no marks or damage to the upholstery. This item is free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
