Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian Regency bow front mahogany and inlaid corner table or washstand, circa 1810, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition. Originally designed as a washstand, they are now commonly used as occasional corner tables; ideal in smaller rooms, which makes use of corner spaces, where space is limited. Perfect for displaying photographs or ornaments. The table boasts a quarter-circular shape, with moulded top and gallery upstand. Below is a straight frieze, decorated with satinwood string inlay. The table top is raised on three supports, above a second tier, which incorporates a mahogany lined, hand dovetailed drawer. The drawer boasts satinwood inlay to the perimeter, with a turned knob. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on three splayed block legs. The table is designed so it can be situated in the corner of the room. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
