The top is constructed of three pieces of solid top quality red walnut. The tilt top table features the original hinge and original working decorative cast brass-locking mechanism; this locks the table into place when horizontal. The original cast brass locking mechanism has been superbly made and denotes the quality of components used in the construction of this table. The table features a well-shaped and very good quality turned pedestal stem, which terminates in soft shaped cabriole legs on refined feet. This table is completely original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) without any breaks or damage and has fantastic colour / patination.
This item features a mid dark red-brown red walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms including the dining room, living room or the hallway. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
